An Overview of the Electrochemical Reduction of Oxygen at Carbon-Based Modified Electrodes
B. Šljukić, C.E. Banks and R.G. Compton* Physical and Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory, Oxford University, South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3QZ, United Kingdom We present an overview of the electrochemical reduction of oxygen in water, focusing on carbon-based and modified carbon electrodes. This process is of importance for gas sensing, in fuel cells and in the electrosynthesis of hydrogen peroxide. Keywords: Electrochemical reduction, Oxygen, Carbon-based modified electrodes |
